Unemployment is real in Kenya.

Unemployment situations in Kenya are and have been an issue to worry about. Every year, many students transit from different colleges and universities in search for jobs. The influx is so great that even the employer is confused on what to expect from the employees or even on who is best to fit some particular vacancies.
The system of education in Kenya has also been criticized on what some say is not a relevant system. Most of the skills that are acquired in schools are not consistent with the needs of the people and this further hardens the search for employment for many youths.
With this and several other situations to look into, many youths have in response led themselves into some harmful activities both to the society and to themselves. In several occasions, the society's broken link has been seen as a deviant behavior from those who cannot lead the right way. Some of these youths might just be educated, but the quest for employment having failed leads them to engaging into activities that are irrelevant to the needs of the society.
Unemployment has remained one of the most daunting challenges in Kenya’s socio-economic development process. Economic growth and development also depends on how fast the resources are exploited and for this to be faster, human resource need to be fully at use.
Expanding this line to accommodate many job seekers is important. There are many factors that have made employment to be a hard issue to deal with. The youths should be given opportunity and relevant education that is relevant in the labour market. This way, many issues will have been solved.
It is important to engage the youth as in activities that may help them create more jobs through self-employment and employing others. There should be initiatives to encourage development of skills that are necessary for the youths outside there to get into self-employment and this should be merged with the knowledge that they have acquired from different institutions. This way, we will be able to create and move a very fast economy.
